Triage Method Newsletter - 29/06/2020
|
In this week's newsletter, I share some excerpts from our Coaches Corner content which we are working on in the background. The concept discussed, ROM Assessment, can help you customise exercise for individuals, rather than having generic standards for everyone.
Additionally, as always, we have a number of recommended resources, as well as the content we shared on our social media this week.
Enjoy!

Online Coaching Testimonial
Darragh O'Sullivan - GAA Player - Fat Loss
|
It's been a while since we have shared much about our Online Coaching service. Now that the gyms are reopening, we hope to see some of you come on board to make some real progress with your training, nutrition, and lifestyle.⠀
Just like Darragh:⠀
"As a student, paying for one to one coaching might be daunting. After a few long term injuries which stopped me from playing GAA for long periods, coupled with poor dietary habits and the transition into the typical college lifestyle, I ended up gaining a lot of fat. Reaching out to the guys at Triage, getting help, and investing in my health and fitness is one of the best decisions I have ever made.⠀
I started working with Paddy 20 weeks ago, with my primary goal being fat loss, but I also wanted to improve my performance, specifically for Gaelic Football. I have always enjoyed training, but I could never control my eating habits, which made it difficult to keep the weight off, which affected my training. Fat loss is hard, especially with a sweet tooth, but having somebody with the knowledge and experience that Paddy has in your corner to plan your training and nutrition for you makes it so
much easier. In fact, the service that he provided for me spanned much further than just training and nutritional guidelines. The psychological support, reassurance, clarity and education that he gave me made this my first ever successful fat loss diet. Every question that I had was answered in great detail. All the while, I have been gaining strength and fitness, to the point where I am in the best physical shape that I have been in.⠀
I feel like a different person in comparison to what I was before starting with Paddy, both physically and mentally. I'm healthier, fitter, stronger and happier than ever before. I could not have achieved these improvements without Paddy's help. If you are unhappy with your health, performance, appearance or anything in between, I highly recommend reaching out to the guys at Triage."

Leg Press - ROM Assessment
As some of you may know, we are spending most of our time developing content in the background right now for the Coaches Corner, but we want to drop some stuff in every now and then to show you some of the content that will be featured.
So far, I have shared a number of isolated lecture slides, and one of my clients (coach himself) asked if it was just lecture-style content, so I said I'd better share one of the recorded videos.
In this video, I am taking you through a very rough and ready way to individualise the leg press for individual clients. As a trainer, simply saying "full ROM" is not enough. That might be fine for bodybuilding rules of thumb, but in the context for personal training, there will undoubtedly be clients who surprise and challenge you if that is the limit of your framework!
Until next time... Keep it 2ez.
NOTE: If this is of interest to you and you'd like to learn more, make sure to pre-register your interest for the Coaches Corner here to avail of a discount when we launch.
